Where did I put it?
WherePut writes down where things actually live — down a chain as deep as your storage goes. Then it finds them again when you ask the way you would ask a person.

Level 2
Everyone else stops at “room”.
Real storage nests. A room holds a cabinet, the cabinet holds a box, the box holds a bag. Apps that give you one level of folder make you flatten all of that into a label you will never guess again six months later.
What other apps record
Bedroom
One level. Now open every drawer.
What WherePut records
- Home
- Bedroom
- Wardrobe
- Third Drawer
- Blue Box
Five levels. Walk straight to it.
Level 3
Ten seconds, not two minutes.
Nobody gives up on an inventory because it stopped being useful. They give up on the third item, because typing took too long.
Photo
Point the camera at it. The item names itself and the background is lifted away for a clean thumbnail.
Voice
Say where it went while your hands are still full of the thing you are putting away.
Barcode
Scan the label on packaged goods and medicine instead of copying the name across.
Quick Box
Photograph a pile now, file it properly later. Nothing has to be finished in one sitting.
Level 4
Ask the way you would ask a person.
Search works on half a memory too — the colour, the rough place, part of the name. When something is found, the chain lights up one station at a time, so you know where to walk before you stand up.
Spotlight and Siri answer without opening the app. Ask the Home Screen where your passport is and it tells you.
Level 5
It never leaves the phone.
Recognition, search and answers all run on your device. There is no account and nothing to sign up for, and the whole app works with the plane in the air. If you would rather use a cloud model you can paste in your own API key — until you do, nothing is sent anywhere at all.
Level 6
Free until your home outgrows it.
